Got mine a couple weeks ago. Only had a chance to use them once, but they glide smooth as silk!

My snowblower skids arrived in Friday's mail. They appear extremely well made, fit perfectly, and should allow me to remove far more snow and far fewer stones from my gravel driveway. For the first time in a long time, I'm impatiently waiting for more deep snow so I can try them out!
It's a pleasure doing business with a company using American products--and a pleasure made even greater when the products work well and are constructed of high grade materials.
Thanks.

They worked out great. I ended up only having to put a washer behind one end of each skid to account for the slight indentation in the frame. The enormous size of the skids are perfect! They stick out a bit past the front of the frame, which will protect the frame very well. I have only had the opportunity to use them on the snowblower once, but I can tell you they were awesome! The snowblower glides right over uneven pavement. I am very glad I bought them and very glad that someone out there makes such a great product. I have already shared your website with a couple people, and plan to let others know about it as well.

Bob, They were even better then I expected! Very heavy duty and should last a lonnnnnggg time. I may order another pair for an old 24" craftsman I have and give the machine to my son. I'm gonna try the pair off the Cub and if they fit order the same.

I mounted these Bad Boys and there is a noticeable difference. These should last much longer than stock skids. Highly recommend—tell your friends, I did.

Used skids for first time today. Wow what a difference. Old skids jarred the heck out of me—don’t even feel the uneven sidewalk with the new skids.

Hi Bob,
I was pleased to receive my skids today. Thanks for the excellent service.
Congratulations on a well-engineered and fabricated product. Very nice. The only problem I had was that my snowblower (John Deere 1330SE) uses 3/8-16 carriage bolts on the stock skids, which are on 2.5" mounting centers. But a few minutes with a 3/8" grinding wheel on a dremel tool fixed it right up. I just hated to destroy that nice powder coating though.
I'll let you know how they work on my gravel drive after the next snow.
Thanks,
RJ

I received the skids after coming back from Thanksgiving. Very impressed with the quality and they bolted right onto my snowblower. Have you thought of selling them to stores? There is one in our area that your product would fit right in at.

Yes, I had the same thoughts as your story. I was going to make my own but got lazy and looked for something that someone was selling that was better than the stock jap crap! Im an engineer and industrial maintenance manager, thus the constant improvement idea!

I believe entirely in Buying American! After 12 yrs of industrial maintenance its very apparent that the good old stuff built in the USA outlasts any highly engineered crap built in japan or china. Ive personally seen to it that we changed many of our specs to require pipe, fasteners and mechanical bearings/etc to be made in the USA!
We just got 12 inches of snow Monday and 4 more coming over turkey day!

Thanks!

subjectRE: Your Skids

Bob,
Got the skids... fit like a glove. Once I took the old skids off I realized I have to get a new shave plate. One of the original skids was so bad I didn't realized the shave plate got chewed up on an angle. The new plate will be here soon.
Thanks,
M. G.
